Psychology of Dogs

There are two methods of learning that have.

Classical conditioning and operant conditioning. Many times we focus on one method but the truth is , both are operating in unison most of the time.

Classical : pairing two stimuli where the first predicts the second. Example, you phone dings and alerts you to a text. The ding predicted the text message

Operant: a dog moves out of the sun to lie in the shade. The dog does an action to find comfort

With these two methods we are able to teach very fine skills to a dog and chain them together to create a cognitive canine
